Step 1: Prepare Your Garment

  • Ensure the fabric is clean, dry, and free of wrinkles.
  • Cotton, denim, and polyester blends work best. Avoid fabrics like nylon or leather.

Step 2: Position the Patch

  • Place the patch where you want it on the garment.
  • Use pins or a small piece of heat-resistant tape to hold it in place if needed.

Step 3: Heat Your Iron

  • Preheat your iron to medium-high heat (around 300–320°F / 150–160°C).
  • Turn off steam settings — a dry iron works best.

Step 4: Apply Heat

  • Cover the patch with a thin cloth or parchment paper to protect it.
  • Press the iron firmly over the patch for 30–45 seconds, applying even pressure.
  • Avoid moving the iron back and forth, which can shift the patch.

Step 5: Cool and Check

  • Let the patch cool completely for a few minutes.
  • Gently check if the edges are secure. If needed, repeat the process for extra adhesion.
